I am a graduate of Faith Lutheran High School. I went to school there from Grades 6 to 12. I loved being a part of that close “family” feeling. When my oldest daughter started Preschool, I wanted her to experience that same feeling. I soon decided I wanted to teach that feeling so, naturally, I chose to work at Mountain View Lutheran, when given the chance, to help the little ones develop a special relationship with God and and long-lasting friendships with their peers.

It makes my heart smile to see the look of joy on a child's face when they hear God's words. I want to be that teacher that makes a "true" difference in a child's life. I believe every child should be valued and treated with respect as a creation of God. An education should empower a child and help him or her make a positive contribution to our world. Children are a gift from the Lord; they are a real blessing. (Psalms 127:3) My husband and I have three grown children and two grandsons along with our three 4-legged friends. We have lived in Las Vegas for the past 25+ years. When not with my "children" (students) I enjoy reading, sewing and spending time at our home in Utah riding ATVs.
I have a degree in early childhood.
I've been a Pre-k teacher since 1992, and at Mountain View since 2000.

Teaching is my second career. It brings me the most joy. Helping children gain confidence in themselves and learn all they can about Jesus, and learning things from the children daily are what I cherish the most. I have been married since 1991; we have no children, but 5 cats (who are just like our children!), lots of Nieces and Nephews, as well as several God-children. We enjoy sporting events (Hockey), movies, and camping. I also like to read and do crafts.
Associates Degree in Early Childhood (College of Southern Nevada - Las Vegas, NV), Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education (University of Nevada - Las Vegas), and Early Childhood Certificate of Lutheran Teaching (Concordia University – Irvine)

I joined the MVLS team in September 2015. Prior to coming to MVLS I was employed by CCSD as a Special Programs Teacher Assistant in Substitute Support Services mainly in autism classes. I was also employed at Community Christian Academy in Pahrump, Nevada, as a 1st grade teacher, then as a Kindergarten teacher. I've been a Foster Parent for 15 years and I adopted 2 children. I have 6 children and 2 grandchildren. My grandchildren, Max and Amaya ( who are the love of my life!), attend school here at MVLS.
Teaching since 1999
I have been blessed to join the Ladybug class in 2015 and work with so many wonderful children. I am thankful for the parents sharing their precious little ones. I love seeing the journey each child take and watch them grow throughout the school year. I am married to a wonderful man, Pat, and have one smart and energetic teenage son, Connor. In my spare time, I enjoy scuba diving, traveling, and spending time with family and friends.
