 CURRENT BIBLE STUDIES

The Kings of Israel and Judah

Join us on Sundays from 9:30 - 10:20am
Dates: January 12 to February 23, 2020
Location: Room #C-109 (Art Room)
Contact: Pastor Derek Klemm

An incredible amount of history crucial for understanding the Old Testament and the life and times of Jesus took place during the period of Israel's and Judah's monarchy. Pastor Derek Klemm will lead a study from Israel's theocratic beginnings, the outcry of the people for a king like the nations around them, the rise of Saul, to the line of David, and the split into two kingdoms, on down through the destruction of first Israel and then Judah. Ultimately this line of David will lead us to the perfect King, unlike any that God' people had ever had before.

This year's Cantata is based on the Lord's Prayer, and I'm excited to study it with you! We'll begin each rehearsal with a brief study of one of the petitions, and then rehearse music for our Cantata.

The performance of the Cantata is March 22 at both services (8:00am and 10:30am). Please join us, and bring a friend!

God has enabled every believer to love and serve in His kingdom through spiritual gifts He bestows on us. Spiritual gifts are not natural talents, Fruit of the Spirit (Gal. 5:22), church positions, or Christian disciplines. Spiritual gifts glorify God and edify others: at home, in the community, and in church.

"Now, to each one, the Holy Spirit displays God's power for the common good." First Corinthians 12:7

Come open your gifts!
