A lot is going on at Mountain View Lutheran Church & School, and we would love to have you be a part of it. Take part in a Bible study, come to a social event, or join us to receive God's gifts in worship. Our latest Bible studies are listed below, and upcoming events can be found on our CALENDAR. You can also find out more about how to get involved on a regular basis on our GET INVOLVED page.

The Kings of Israel and Judah

Join us on Sundays from 9:30 - 10:20am
Dates: January 12 to February 23, 2020
Location: Room #C-109 (Art Room)
Contact: Pastor Derek Klemm

An incredible amount of history crucial for understanding the Old Testament and the life and times of Jesus took place during the period of Israel's and Judah's monarchy. Pastor Derek Klemm will lead a study from Israel's theocratic beginnings, the outcry of the people for a king like the nations around them, the rise of Saul, to the line of David, and the split into two kingdoms, on down through the destruction of first Israel and then Judah. Ultimately this line of David will lead us to the perfect King, unlike any that God' people had ever had before.

God has enabled every believer to love and serve in His kingdom through spiritual gifts He bestows on us. Spiritual gifts are not natural talents, Fruit of the Spirit (Gal. 5:22), church positions, or Christian disciplines. Spiritual gifts glorify God and edify others: at home, in the community, and in church.

"Now, to each one, the Holy Spirit displays God's power for the common good." First Corinthians 12:7

Come open your gifts!

Membership is not a required part of worshipping at Mountain View Lutheran Church and we welcome anyone to be here with us whether or not they take that step. However, we would love to have you join us as members of the church. The On Ramp is a group led by Pastor Derek, teaching the basics of our beliefs, answering questions, and encouraging growth in our walk as disciples of Jesus Christ. Those in the On Ramp group will have the option to become members but there is no expectation – it is a safe place to learn, wrestle, question and struggle. Also, members of another Lutheran Church - Missouri Synod may join us by calling the church office to transfer their membership. Either way, get in touch via phone or email. We would love to have you walk alongside us in our ministry here at Mountain View.

Together, we enjoy the freedom we have in Christ and the joy found in the knowledge of our eternal salvation.
