A lot is going on at Mountain View Lutheran Church & School, and we would love to have you be a part of it. Take part in a Bible study, come to a social event, or join us to receive God's gifts in worship. Our latest Bible studies are listed below, and upcoming events can be found on our CALENDAR. You can also find out more about how to get involved on a regular basis on our GET INVOLVED page.

The Gospel According to Isaiah

Join us on Sundays from 9:30 - 10:20am
Dates: Starting October 13, 2019
Location: Room #C-109 (Art Room)
Contact: Pastor Brad Wellik

The book of Isaiah is referenced in the Gospel over 20 times and around 25 times throughout the writings of Paul. This Old Testament prophet helps to shape our expectations of who Jesus is and what He comes to do. We will be looking at some of these quoted passages of Isaiah in their original context. Why are these words written in Isaiah and what do they mean for the book's original hearers? Then we will take some time to see how the authors of the Gospels use this idea in their own writings. Join us in the Art room as we explore Jesus through the Old Testament.

Join us on Sundays from 9:30 - 10:20am

Membership is not a required part of worshipping at Mountain View Lutheran Church and we welcome anyone to be here with us whether or not they take that step. However, we would love to have you join us as members of the church. The On Ramp is a group led by Pastor Derek, teaching the basics of our beliefs, answering questions, and encouraging growth in our walk as disciples of Jesus Christ. Those in the On Ramp group will have the option to become members but there is no expectation – it is a safe place to learn, wrestle, question and struggle. Also, members of another Lutheran Church - Missouri Synod may join us by calling the church office to transfer their membership. Either way, get in touch via phone or email. We would love to have you walk alongside us in our ministry here at Mountain View.

OUR GOAL at Mountain View is to bring the saving grace of Christ to His people. Through weekly worship, Bible studies, family activities, Sunday School, fellowship, outreach, and our preschool and elementary school, we aim to teach people about their Savior and surround them with a Cloud of Witnesses - a family of believers to love, support, and encourage them in their faith walk. Together, we enjoy the freedom we have in Christ and the joy found in the knowledge of our eternal salvation. Together we are connecting, caring, and sharing through Christ.
