For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve
At Mountain View Lutheran Church, service happens in many ways. We love and serve one another through fellowship, meal trains, community, and support through all phases of life. We encourage service to our literal neighbors, helping those God has placed near us on a daily basis. We also go out in to our community together, serving specific community needs as a team. No matter the venue, we rest assured that God uses our time, talents, and treasures to his glory as we live out our vocations as children of the risen Lord.
Community Serve Day
A couple Sundays a year we get together for worship in the morning and then spread through the city to share Christ’s love with our community. We work with several charities around town to impact a wide variety of people and causes.
SIGN-UPS will be open again in the Spring - spots can fill up fast!
Keep an eye out for other ways to get involved!
- Blood drives
- Special fundraisers (disaster relief, ministry partners, etc.)
- Christmas programs (gifts for Angel Tree, Operation Christmas Child)
- Inviting friends – outreach anyone can do!
Supporting god's mission
We support many local, national and international missions financially, materially, and through prayer and service. Learn more about the organizations with which we partner in ministry.
LUTHERAN WOMEN'S MISSIONARY LEAGUE
The mission of the Lutheran Women's Missionary League (LWML) is to assist each woman in affirming her relationship with the Triune God so that she is enabled to use her gifts in ministry to the people of the world. We meet monthly for Bible study, fellowship, and to manage our Missions. The donations of 'mites' (small change) are put to use here in Las Vegas and around the world, enabling us to spread God's Word and "Serve the Lord with Gladness!" (Psalm 100:2)
