Extra Curricular Program Overview

Mountain View Lutheran School offers a variety of extracurricular activities for students in grades K-5. Our fourth and fifth graders have the opportunity to participate in competitive sports through the Redrock Athletic Conference. Our conference includes other private schools in our area. The sports that we offer are boys and girls basketball, girls volleyball, flag football, and co-ed soccer. We also have a band program for the fourth and fifth graders. The afterschool clubs are available to all students. Currently we offer book club, chapel club, arts and crafts club, basketball club, martial arts, scrabble club, and we have a jump rope team. There is also Wonderland Dance for students in Kindergarten. All students are encouraged to participate in the clubs that are offered for their grade.

A WORD ABOUT EXTRA-CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES
Extra-curricular activities are a privilege. Students can be removed from an activity if they violate the policy on tardies. If their classroom work, homework, or behavior is unsatisfactory their teacher can remove them from the activity until the student has improved. They can also be removed if they are a discipline problem during the activities or if they do not attend the meetings regularly. There will be a limited number of spots. Students will be able to participate in more than one activity at a time however, priority will be given to the students who are currently not involved in an activity.
