| Curriculum We integrate our faith in all areas of curriculum study. Students attending Mountain View Lutheran School receive religious instruction in their classrooms and during chapel services. Our biblical references usually refer to the New International Version of the Bible. Information on the specific curriculum for each grade level will be available prior to the beginning of the new school year. A full syllabus for all subjects is on file and available in the school office. The basic curriculum for grades 1 – 5 includes Religion, Reading, Language Arts, Spelling, Mathematics, Science, Social Studies, Computer Science, Music, Art, and Physical Education. In grades Kindergarten - 5th, teachers send home a letter at least once a week to indicate what students will be learning. The school also offers students the following educational opportunities: * Individualized Reading Program in grades K–5. * An in–school and out–of–school cultural program which includes performances, trips to the city, museum outings and other activities. * Opportunities to participate in a variety of school performances and assemblies * Utilization of the Computer Lab * Technology instruction and integration into all academic areas * Learning through Audio-Visual Media use * Band program available for grades 4 - 5 * Sports programs for boys and girls in grades K - 5 * Referrals to outside resources to meet each child’s particular needs.
