| Faith Based Education Mountain View Lutheran School exists to pass on the teaching of Jesus to the children of the congregation, to form them in gospel values, and to help them transform these values into daily living. Instruction in religious truth and values is an integral part of the school program. It is not one more subject alongside the rest, but instead it is perceived and functions as the underlying reality in which students’ experiences of learning and living achieve their coherence and deepest meaning. The religious education program involves daily classroom religious instruction coordinated with the parish sacramental preparation programs as follows: Grade 2 - Sacrament of Reconciliation & Sacrament of Holy Eucharist All school liturgies are celebrated throughout the school year with grade levels taking part in the planning and ministering of some masses. Each grade level also takes part in a family mass on an assigned given Sunday. |
