Service
Social Ministry
Lutheran Social Services of Nevada (LSSN) LSSN is a good steward of the gifts given to
serve our community; more than 90 percent of each dollar goes directly
to service.
The annual
peanut butter
drive for LSSN will start August 1 and continue for the entire
month. Many local Lutheran
churches are in competition for the largest collection, with New Song
being the
winner for the past two years.
This is a most worthy cause for LSSN and we have always contributed.
There will be a collection box on top
of the donation cabinet, by the water fountains, for your peanut butter
donations. Many are in financial
crises now, but hopefully we can all spare a jar of peanut butter to
help those
who will benefit from this effort.

as
a Christian child advocacy ministry
that releases children from spiritual, economic, social and
physical poverty and enables them to become responsible,
fulfilled
Christian adults.
Founded by the
Rev. Everett Swanson in 1952, Compassion began providing
Korean War orphans with food, shelter, education and health care,
as
well as Christian training. Today, Compassion helps more
than 1 million children in 25 countries.

provides:
Food and clean water

Most important
of all, your sponsored child will hear about Jesus
Christ and be encouraged to develop a lifelong relationship with
God.
